Discovery Science Center Presents the “Dog Days of Summer”
Special events and programming beginning June 30 through July 8
SANTA ANA, CA – Discovery Science Center’s (DSC) WILD SUMMER rages on with its Dog Days of Summer from June 30 – July 8. Guests will have the opportunity to see an exciting dog stunt show, meet and greet with Orange County pet rescue groups, and participate in learning stations.
It’s all about the dogs! Beginning on June 30, DSC’s Dog Days of Summer will kick off featuring exciting programming on all types of canines, domestic and wild. Don’t miss your chance to see an amazing stunt dog show by the famous duo, Kyra and Chalcy, visit with local pet rescue groups and learn about the efforts in our community to rescue dogs and other pets in need, and learn about dog’s teeth and incredible sense of smell.

Kyra Sundance & Chalcy – Stunt Dog Team
Come see the world famous, energetic stunt dog duo, Kyra and Chalcy, as they perform acrobatic feats and humorous skits for adults and children of all ages! Kyra and Chalcy have been featured on Ellen, The Tonight Show, Entertainment Tonight, FOX News Live and more showcasing their stunning acrobatic routines with energetic jumping, body vaulting, and baton twirling.
Dogs vs Humans Activity
Have you ever wanted to smell like a dog? Not likely. But if we are talking about their super-sense of smell, you might change your mind. Just how sensitive is a dog’s sense of smell? Come explore with us in this fun activity.
Animal Teeth Learning Station
Discover how animals’ teeth are designed for certain types of food, along with fun tidbits such as: How do dogs’ and cats’ teeth differ from each other? What North American mammal has the greatest number of teeth? And which group of animals has teeth that grow its entire lifetime?
“A Game of Chance”
Don’t miss our newest stage show just for summer! Join Team Tiger or Team Rhino and earn points to win awesome prizes while testing your knowledge and learning about endangered animals.

Dog Days of Summer and Wildlife Rescue exhibit is included with general admission to the Science Center, which is $14.95 for adults, $12.95 for children and seniors, and is free to children 3 and younger.
