Fan Yang headlines Bubblefest XIV March 27-April 11

SANTA ANA, Calif.– BubbleFest, the Orange County Bubble Extravaganza, returns to Taco Bell Discovery Science Center March 27-April 11 2010.The ultimate Spring Break family event, BubbleFest offers a look into the beautiful, delicate world of bubbles like never before.

Bubble science activities highlight surface tension, elasticity, air pressure, geometry and more.

Leading the excitement is Fan Yang’s Mega Bubble Show show featuring 16-time Guinness Book World Record Holder and Bubble Scientist, Fan Yang. Yang travels the world with his Mega Bubble Show, and Taco Bell Discovery Science Center is proud to be his only West Coast engagement this year.

World-renowned for his unique and stunning artistry, Yang performs four bubble shows daily at BubbleFest, featuring a bubble carousel, bubbles within bubbles, smoking bubbles, spinning bubbles, bouncing bubbles and bubbles in all shapes and sizes. For the third year in a row, Yang will be featured outdoors in a tent, accommodating a larger audience and a phenomenal show. Bubble show tickets are an additional charge after Science Center admission ($9.95 to $12.95).

Included with general admission to Discovery Science Center are the Bubble Learning Stations and the Center’s more than 100 permanent hands-one exhibits. At Bubble Learning Stations, bubble-blowers can also explore the secrets and science behind making the biggest and best bubbles! Visitors will conduct experiments to determine how to make the biggest bubble, how to have their bubble last the longest and how to touch the inside of a bubble.

Also offered during Bubble Fest is a unique experience – “Me in a Bubble” – where guests can have their photo taken inside a giant soap bubble as proof it can be done! (Additional fee required.)

The Science Center’s most popular annual event, BubbleFest is designed to help visitors appreciate and understand the scientific principles and mathematics of bubbles, and to let them explore the world of bubbles in a fun, hands-on environment.
