    What a Hoot! (NEW)

Get ready to explore the science of sound as we investigate high and low sounds, loud and soft sounds, and how sound is made. Stay tuned to discover a variety of handmade instruments, including a “hoot” tube and a “voice visualizer.” Standards: [PS 1 d – pg 8]

    Motion Commotion

Experience the awesome power of physics as we explore forces and energy. Overcome gravity using air pressure, see your voice, brave the pendulum wrecking ball, and much more. This action-packed assembly is sure to blow you away.

    Watt's Current

An electrifying demonstration awaits you! Observe the power of electricity and learn about electrical circuits as a Science Center staff member operates a Tesla coil and an electrostatic generator. It is sure to make your hair stand on end! Students are invited to participate during this energy-filled presentation of electricity.

    Reaction Lab

Uncover the mysteries of chemical reactions as students participate in some amazing demonstrations that are sure to keep them on the edge of their seats. Color-changing chemicals, extreme temperatures and glowing concoctions are a few of the many chemical reactions we will explore.

    Bubbles!

Get ready to be amazed at the science behind bubbles. Join our bubbleologist as we explore what makes bubbles work. Investigate the properties of bubbles, from their colors and shapes to what keeps them from popping… or what makes them pop! Bubbles are more than what meets the eye.

    Super Cool

By far the “coolest” program we offer is this demonstration focusing on the three states of matter: gas, liquid, and solid. A series of experiments will feature liquid nitrogen, with a boiling point of -319 degrees Fahrenheit (-196oC)!

Search for Life in the Universe

Watch a 3-D multi-media presentation that focuses on the Search for Life in the Universe. This unique program discusses current research and NASA missions designed to discover if we are not alone in the universe (or even our solar system!) Call Dr. Neil Campbell for more information at 714-536-3258. This assembly is free.
