Field TripsExplore hands-on science exhibits while completing an Activity Booklet to share back at school. Observe, compare, and contrast things while you learn about floating and sinking at our Stream Table; which objects are attracted to our Magnet Wall; how to make your voice change higher and lower. Science programs are held at your school and taught by Discovery Science Center staff. They are 50 minutes in length and align with California Science Content Standards.
Buzzy Bees Students investigate the fascinating world of insects as they look at the external body parts of bees and discover some of their amazing adaptations. Bubbles! Get ready to be amazed at the science behind bubbles. Join our bubbleologist as we explore what makes bubbles work. What a Hoot!  Get ready to explore the science of sound as we investigate high and low sounds, loud and soft sounds, and how sound is made. Stay tuned to discover a variety of handmade instruments, including a “hoot” tube and a “voice visualizer.” Standards: [I&E 4 a, b, e – pg. 2]
