Hiking Programs Available Program #1: Dripping Springs Hike in Limestone Canyon: 9:00am Recommended Age: 11 & up Explore beautiful Limestone Canyon. The route leaves the Augustine staging area, heads along the paved Hick’s Haul Road, to the Loma Ridge Trail entrance. Hike up Loma Ridge and drop into Limestone Canyon via the Dripping Springs East Trail. Visit Dripping Springs and then drop down to the valley and head back to the staging area through Limestone Canyon.  Program #2: Limestone Canyon Loop Hike: 9:15am Recommended Age: 10 & up Explore beautiful Limestone Canyon on this five mile loop hike. The route leaves the Augustine staging area, heads along the paved Hick’s Haul Road, to the Loma Ridge Trail entrance. Hike along Loma Ridge and drop into Limestone Canyon via the Dripping Springs West Trail (this program does not visit dripping springs). Limestone Canyon is best known for its scenic canyons and majestic coastal live oak trees. The area contains valuable coastal sage scrub habitat as well as woodlands and native grasslands. Program #3: Hike to Dripping Springs via the Low Road: 9:30am Recommended Age: 8 & up Explore beautiful Limestone Canyon on your way to Dripping Springs, a serene fern grotto where rainwater, whic has accumulated in a fault, runs directly out of the cliff face year round. Along the trail, you'll pass through Coastal Sage Scrub, Grasslands, and Oak Woodlands. View evidence of the old ranch days including water tanks and corrals. This easier route travels along a ranch road without much elevation change.  Program # 4: Family Walk on the Hick’s Haul Road: 10:00am Recommended for younger kids 5 - 7 years of age Bring your family along for a stroll from the Augustine Staging Area over Loma Ridge on the paved Hick’s Haul Road. Take time to view the spectacular views of the Santa Ana Mountains and Orange County. Strollers can be used.
