| Why do stars twinkle? What is a rainbow and where does its color come from? Find out answers to these questions and much more during Discovery Science Center's annual Optricks Event. All activities are included in Science Center admission.

Holograms and optics art sculptures will also be on display throughout the Science Center to demonstrate the many creative uses for optics. Microscopes, telescopes, kaleidoscopes, binoculars and cameras, oh my!
In addition to the many optics activities, join us for illuminating presentations of optical phenomena by Optricks Apprentices, inspired by Dr. Murty, The Wizard of Light. Dr. Murty himself may even make cameo appearances!
This year, as we continue to grow the popularity of this event, we will feature a new Laser Graffiti hands-on demonstration and a special science educational Laser Light Show in honor of LaserFest - the 50th Anniversary of the Invention of the laser.
