FINAL DAYS OF EXHIBITION - CLOSING SEPT. 7

Stinky, dirty fun for summer 2008 Investigate the icky at Discovery Science Center's summer exhibition, Animal Grossology!
The touring exhibition is based on the Animal Grossology book from the best-selling Grossology series by educator and writer Sylvia Branzei. Meet some of the slipperiest, smelliest, utterly dirtiest creatures on Earth at Discovery Science Center from May 23 to Sept. 7, 2008.

Jump on Chew Chew Express to see a replica of a cow's digestive tract, the gassiest animal on Earth. Pump "blood" into a mosquito and study the anatomical features that make them so unique. Use your "Scents Sense" to appreciate the vital role smell plays in the lives of your favorite animals, while testing your own sense of smell! Through this downright disgusting exhibit, you can get the inside "scoop" on animal life and nature, from A to Z.
Animal Grossology, is an interactive exhibition that takes a slightly different view of Fluffy, Fido and the rest of the animal kingdom! Here's your chance to meet frogs that give birth by belching. You may think leeches are pretty disgusting, but did you know that they're used after some surgeries to assist in the healing process? Play Transfusion Confusion to discover which animals have what color blood. Learn why a cat's anatomy is the reason why it spits up hairballs. Become a scarab beetle in a retro, Atari-type world as you compete in a challenging dung-ball race. Discover the mystery of the incredible tapeworm. That's right humans, make your way to Discovery Science Center for an up close look at the animal kingdom from a decidedly different perspective.
