Who: All educators are welcome including classroom teachers, homeschool parents, after school providers, scout leaders, and other educational community providers. Adults only please.

What: This is an exclusive, educators-only event for both formal and informal educators, that includes complimentary food and drink, STEM activities, science demonstrations, and raffle prizes. See program and our staff on-site for details.

Watershed Wonders

Join us on a mission to educate, inspire, and ignite a sense of environmental stewardship in your students as we empower educators with practical insights to incorporate sustainability into their teaching.

How Clean is Your Water?

Perform water quality tests to learn how we can ensure our water is safe for drinking.  Using real world situations, explore the connection between water efficiency and how pollutants can travel through our watershed.

Buzzy Bees

At this engaging workshop you will dive into the anatomy of bees and their magical ability to create sound.

BioMagni-FUN-cation

Embark on an incredible journey through the food web where we will unravel the mysteries of biomagnification.

Planetary Adventures

Step into the wonders of the cosmos in our Portable Planetarium where you will be transported to the vast reaches of space.

Robot Challenge

Learn about the basics of coding in a fun, interactive space while creating programs to control Ozobots and Dash Robots.

Science of Gingerbread

Stop by this station, where delicious meets discovery, to learn about a holiday celebration that combines the magic of gingerbread with the wonders of science. Save the date for a competition that challenges aspiring scientist to become master builders using gingerbread as their medium to construct their masterpiece. Participants will have the chance to showcase their culinary creations in a friendly competition!

Survey Station

Congratulations!  After visiting all of the other stations, you are ready to receive your prize.  Stop by this station to complete a simple survey and collect your reward.

RAFFLE PRIZES

  • Discovery Cube Science-to-Go Workshop for 20 – 35 students in grades K-8. Choose from a variety of hands-on workshops correlated with NGSS.
  • Discovery Cube Science-to-Go Assembly for up to 150 students in grades K-8. Choose from a variety of interactive, high-energy assemblies correlated with NGSS.
  • Discovery Cube Field Trip for 120 students in grades K-8 to either our Orange County or Los Angeles location. Experience an immersive field trip among larger than life exhibits to learn STEM concepts like never before.
