Discovery Science Center Promotes New Vice President of Sales and Strategic Development
Public Affairs Veteran Sean Fitzgerald Promoted from within for Role
Santa Ana, Calif. – January 27, 2014 – Discovery Science Center (DSC) recently promoted public affairs veteran Sean Fitzgerald to the position of Vice President, Sales and Strategic Development. Fitzgerald has been with DSC for three years, most recently serving as Director, Strategic Development.
As Vice President, Sales and Strategic Development, Fitzgerald works directly with the Center’s leadership on a variety of growth-related initiatives. This includes developing new strategic partnerships with municipalities, corporations and other non-profits and serving as a key member of the team working to open DSC’s new Los Angeles facility later this year. In addition, Fitzgerald oversees a sales team working to fulfill the Center’s sales goals in field trips, outreach programming and partner education programs.
Fitzgerald has an extensive background, most recently as a public affairs consultant working on behalf of a variety of cities, special districts and non-profit organizations throughout California helping vital public benefit projects become reality. In his previous role as Senior Director, Strategic Development, Fitzgerald helped organize and focus the Center’s partnership development and sales processes, working with DSC leadership to create new growth opportunities.
