Discovery Science Center is proud to host our second annual Egg Drop Competition to conclude our Engineer’s Week celebration!
Kids and adults of all ages are invited to design and build an Egg Transport Vehicle (ETV), which is a device that will house and protect an egg from breaking as it falls to the ground from various heights.
Prizes include Annual Memberships and a gift card to our Science Store!
Competition Details
Competitors must create their entry ahead of time and bring to DSC to compete. Entries will be judged and winners will be selected based on the lightest weight, the fewest number of parts, and the most accurate landing on the Drop Zone target.
- Two general admission tickets per entry will be provided. Any friends, family or other spectators must purchase general admission at the door.
- Eggs will be provided… please do not bring eggs.

- Don’t forget to bring your Egg Protection Device already built! No supplies (tape, glue, etc…) will be provided.
- Prizes include an Annual Family Membership, Individual Membership and Launch Pad Science Store gift card.
- Prizes will be awarded after the final drop, but participants DO NOT need to be present to win (we can mail them to you).
