Dr. Zoo Little Presents: Mammals (Aug 24-26)
Presented by the San Diego Zoo
Join us for special presentations on mammals from the experts at the San Diego Zoo at 12pm & 1:30pm August 24-26.

An assembly program presented by the zany Dr. Zoolittle and Maya, a fun and informative Zoo Educator. Through animal presentations and loads of audience participation, the San Diego Zoo staff will uncover how people play a critical role in the survival of animals, highlighting some of their own real-life men and women who have devoted their lives to saving wildlife. The zoo animal ambassadors—the birds or small mammals—will demonstrate how simple changes in our daily activities help keep their habitats healthy.  With Dr. Zoolittle as your guide, you will explore the unique efforts of wildlife heroes while learning how to become a champion of the Earth yourself! 

Santa Ana Zoo Mobile Presentations – Aug 28 & 30
Come meet an iguana, opossum, mallard duck, Amazon parrot, native tarantula and hedgehog in this Santa Ana Zoo mobile presentation on August 28 & 30 at 1:00pm and 3:00pm.

“What Makes a Mammal a Mammal” Activity (weekends only)

What do all mammals have in common? Why do some mammals have tails and others do not? Explore some fun facts about mammals, including specialized body coverings and behaviors that make these furry creatures exotic, weird and/or near and dear to our hearts.

Animal Adaptions Learning Station (weekends only)

My, what big feet you have! Investigate animal adaptations and why some mammals have large hooves and others have small hooves by lying on our Bed of Nails. How does a Bed of Nails relate to animal feet? Come find out during Discovery Science Center’s program on mammals.

“A Game of Chance” Stage Show (weekends only)

Don’t miss our newest stage show just for summer! Join Team Tiger or Team Rhino and earn points to win awesome prizes while learning about endangered animals.
