Future Scientists and Engineers of America (FSEA) turns the thrill of hands-on learning into a lifelong experience for the future. FSEA, a national program of Discovery Science Center in California, has developed lots of fun and challenging projects that allow students to do real engineering and science.
FSEA is an award-winning national program that can motivate, inspire, challenge and introduce students to the thrill of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. It's fun, engaging, and involves real-world application projects that help relate the importance of education to really sweet future career possibilities.
Founded in 1989, this community based, after-school program, uses a unique combination of challenging hands-on projects, volunteers and support from local businesses in an after-school setting where students experience the "technology process." FSEA clubs all across the country currently meet one day a week. Students from grades 4 through 12 work together in teams, with local scientists, engineers and technicians to design, build, test and compete various hands-on projects. For information about how you can get local businesses in your area involved in your FSEA club, please download a copy of the FSEA Grant Proposal here. |
