Make A Difference!  Volunteer!

 Volunteer helping guest

Discovery Science Center volunteers are dedicated to welcoming and hosting guests and fostering the mission and goals of DSC.

Volunteers take on a wide variety of roles, ranging from teaching science on the exhibit floor, interacting with guests, and helping out with all of our back office needs.  The Volunteer Department works closely with each volunteer to help them find the best possible volunteer opportunity.

All Discovery Science Center volunteers must be at least 15 years old or in their Sophomore year of high school.
As of June 1st, 2008, all Discovery Science Center volunteers must complete an interview, orientation, and training with the Volunteer Department before they begin volunteering. In addition, a minimum of 25 volunteer hours must be completed before any hours will be verified.

Volunteer Positions are perfect for:
  • Retired Professionals
  • Teachers
  • Engineers
  • Students
  • Anyone who wants to make an impact in their community
