Member Astronomy Night at Irvine Regional Park
September 18, 2010 - 7:00pm to 9:30pm Members Only! Spend a night looking to the stars with Discovery Science Center at Irvine Regional Park in Orange. Enjoy space activities and presentations and look through real telescopes to see the night sky like never before!
- Examine the night sky through real telescopes (open at 8:30pm)
- See several Mars images and models on display courtesy of Jet Propulsion Laboratory
- Children can participate in hands-on crafts and activities
- Learn from Dr. Ashwin Vasaveda, one of the lead scientists on the Mars Science Lab – the newest mission that will be heading off to Mars soon! (at 8:00pm). Then, be sure to visit DSC soon to check out our new exhibit featuring a replica model of the Mars Rover Curiosity!
