Science of Gingerbread Holiday Festival

Inside the kitchen, much more is going on than pouring and mixing – it’s science at work! Our holiday festival is filled with festive activities designed to bring families together this holiday season.

- Award Winning Gingerbread Displays
Just in time for the holiday season, we're showcasing toys & games from the National Toy Hall of Fame. Let's Play Railway!, a giant replica of BRIO's famous wooden toy Engine, Cattle Wagon & Caboose, will be featured inside of the holiday exhibition. Also featured will be Toys from Mexico, an international traveling toy exhibit.
Enter our Annual Gingerbread Competition!
Discovery Science Center is seeking out delectable creativity from children, adults, businesses, and organizations. Try your hand at creating a delicious masterpiece out of gingerbread, icing, and other edibles in this year's gingerbread competition. If you like sweets, architecture, holidays, or just trying something new, this contest is for you!

Bring your expertise to our annual Gingerbread Exhibition! Host a stage show, lead a decorating demonstration, host a stage show in our Sun Stage area, or showcase your unique gingerbread creation. Your ideas are welcomed!
