At Discovery Science Center, we imagine a world of positive change with science education. Your philanthropy makes that vision a reality. We need your support to realize Discovery Science Center’s mission to educate young minds, create partnerships with teachers, and increase public understanding and appreciation of science, math and technology through interactive exhibits and programs.
The Education Fund is the foundation of Discovery Science Center’s annual fund-raising efforts. Annual support of this Fund helps to bridge the gap between the income we receive from ticket sales and memberships with the actual operating costs for the Discovery Center.
Your gifts help us:
- Impart science knowledge to 270,000 students and teachers each year
- Provide scholarships to 7,000 students annually from underserved schools
- Provide free professional development training for 1,000 teachers
- Deliver interactive hands-on engagement with world-class traveling exhibits
- Provide an online resource network for teachers
The campaign for the annual Education Fund runs from July 1 through June 30. To gain possible tax benefits during a tax year, donations should be made prior to December 31.
Annual contributions to the Education Fund are, in many ways, the most valuable contributions we receive. Every year, corporations, businesses, foundations and individuals provide essential annual support for our commitment to innovative and interactive science education.
