A BOLD AND AMBITIOUS CAPITAL PLAN

With a passion for “lighting a fire” in young minds, Discovery Science Center continues to transform learning opportunities for students and educators, as well as the community at large.

Faced with billion dollar cuts to our education budgets, the Science Center provides us with an incredibly timely and relevant opportunity to make a difference—to be a “game changer.” Our densely packed facility needs to grow to meet the demands for our programs and exhibits.

Fueled by the vision and philanthropy of our community, the Science Center’s capital expansion plan will triple our physical space, allow us to compete for national exhibits and accommodate twice the number of visitors!

Our new facilities will allow us to significantly expand unique hands-on experiences for visitors with differing learning styles, whether kinesthetic, auditory or visual. Our exhibits will provide a natural extension to school outreach programs and serve as teaching resources for students, teachers and families. This expansion will serve the needs of many members of our community including those have the least access to hands-on, interactive science education opportunities.

We look forward to sharing our plans for a robust expansion of our footprint and geographic reach. This is a momentous time in the history of Discovery Science Center. We welcome you to be a part of this journey!
