SANTA ANA, Calif. (June 26, 2014) – Calling all junior inventors! The 2nd annual Inventor’s Week is coming to Discovery Science Center (DSC) June 28 through July 6. Enjoy a week of tinkering, building and exploring while learning about electronic and robotic principles that every inventor and engineer should know. This week long event invites inventors and creators of all ages to discover the science behind various gizmos and gadgets with interactive exhibits.
Santa Ana, Calif. – March 6, 2014 – Discovery Science Center (DSC) is pleased to announce the appointment of industry veteran Jennifer Atkinson to the role of Vice President of Development. In her new role, Atkinson will work directly with the Center’s leadership on a variety of growth-related initiatives including fundraising campaigns surrounding the expansion of the Santa Ana campus, the new DSC Los Angeles opening, and maintaining the community support for education programs, traveling exhibits, and other daily operations.

SANTA ANA, Calif. – January 29, 2014 – Today, Taco Bell Discovery Science Center (DSC) began construction on a $22.5 million expansion, which will double the size of the Santa Ana facility and increase the number of educational programs offered to local students and tea~hers. Construction on the project began with a pyrotechnic filled, “explosive” groundbreaking ceremony and featured remarks from Orange County Supervisor, Janet Nguyen; Santa Ana Mayor, Miguel Pulido; and Discovery Science Center leadership. The new expansion is expected to open in Spring of 2015.
