Discovery Cube LA hits 100,000 mark!
After just five months of being open, Discovery Cube Los Angeles has officially welcomed over 100,000 guests to the new museum. The center, which sits on 2.5 acres at the Hansen Dam Recreation Area, opened to the public in November of 2014 with great anticipation and fanfare. With exhibits focused on the environment, healthy living, early learning, and STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) education, Discovery Cube is helping to inspire and educate all those who come through the museum.
Executive Director, Kafi D. Blumenfield stated: “It’s exciting to say that we have welcomed over 100,000 guests to Discovery Cube LA in such a short period of time! The attendance we’ve had since opening our doors in November of last year, shows that the desire for a fun, interactive space of learning and science-based education in the San Fernando Valley is welcomed throughout the region. I’m enthusiastic to see what the future holds and as we strive to better serve and positively impact Southern California communities through our programs and exhibits.”
