Greener Pathways programs guide 1-6 grade students on an illuminating journey into the world of waste management and recycling. Our programs empower young minds by teaching them how to sort their trash and compost effectively, emphasizing how these actions contribute to a healthier environment. Through engaging field trips and assemblies, we provide grade-specific lessons aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), ensuring each student understands the importance of waste management. Assemblies

The City’s Public Works Department hosts an annual Children’s Environmental Fair for Mission Viejo third graders and their teachers as an all-day field trip. This invitation-only event will take place on Friday, April 25th, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Norman P. Murray Community & Senior Center and Oso Viejo Community Park.

Every program has a monetary value to the Sponsor.  Ultimately, this program had been paid for by City of Mission Viejo and is being offered FREE.

After making a reservation, Discovery Cube will confirm your school is qualified and additional communication will be sent.

This program qualifies for a bus stipend of up to $750 per bus! After the completion of your field trip, simply forward your bus invoice to GroupSales@discoverycube.org. Bus stipends are available on a first come, first served basis. 

*Bus stipends are up to $750 per bus, maximum 5 buses. Booking a reservation does not guarantee your school qualifies for a free program, once your school’s eligibility has been confirmed, Discovery Cube will follow up with additional communication. All participants in the Field Trips listed above must participate in the full program. The programs listed above are sponsored by City of Mission Viejo; other paid Discovery Cube programs are not eligible.
