Superior Court of LA County x Discovery Cube

The Superior Court of Los Angeles County proudly presents Court Commons, a dynamic pop-up community resource center designed to bring the court to the community. Showcased in a modular, trailer-based format, Court Commons features five engaging thematic zones: Why Courts MatterThe Court and MeThe Inside StoryBeyond the Headlines, and a Presentation Hub. Each zone is equipped with interactive displays, audio elements, and visual storytelling to make court-related topics accessible and relevant. From exploring individual rights and court careers to unpacking high-profile cases and personal experiences, Court Commons creates an immersive, community-centered space where visitors can learn, connect, and engage directly with the justice system.

This community workshop, which is open to the public and free, will provide information on a variety of legal issues, including:

  • Unlawful Detainers (Evictions)
  • Expungements
  • Civil Harassment, Domestic Violence & Elder Abuse Restraining Orders
  • CARE Court

This first community workshop hosted by Court Commons marks the beginning of a new series of quarterly educational workshops designed to inform and empower community on key legal topics through meaningful community engagement.
