The Congressional App Challenge is the official student STEM competition of the U.S. House of Representatives. It’s an annual nationwide competition hosted by Members of Congress designed to inspire middle and high school students to explore STEM fields. In the nine years of the Congressional App Challenge, the program has inspired over 70,000 App Challengers across all 50 states. Thousands of functional apps have been created for Congress, and participant demographics surpass all industry diversity metrics.
Founded in 2009, Broadcom Foundation promotes digital and AI literacy as critical 21st Century+ skills that all young people need to compete for highly skilled jobs in emerging industries built on technologies of the future.
