Spark volunteers ignite curiosity and provide guests with interactive learning demonstrations that cover a wide range of topics. No formal teaching background is required!

Team celebration volunteers support birthday demonstrators during birthday parties and assist with all other Discovery Cube special events!
Things to Consider
There are a few things you should know before you start the application process to join Discovery Cube’s volunteer family.
• Prospective teen volunteers are required to submit an online application, resume, and letter of recommendation.
• Prospective volunteers also need to complete a volunteer interview and attend a mandatory orientation.
• Minimum commitment of 60 hours.
• Flexible schedule! Teen Volunteers are asked to complete at least one 4-hour shift every 30 days.
• If you are 14, you may start the application process one month before your 15th birthday.

Step 2. Tell us how awesome you are! Teen volunteer applicants are required to submit a resume and a letter of recommendation.
- Your resume may include your volunteer or work experience, classes you have taken, clubs and activities that you are involved in, hobbies, grades, or anything else that you would like to share with us.
- Your letter of recommendation should come from an adult that you have worked with in a professional manner such as a teacher, coach, religious leader, personal mentor, or previous supervisor. We do not accept letters from family members.
In order to secure an interview, you will need to submit all your required paperwork to us.

Step 3. You’re almost there! We would like to meet you! Once your online application is completed and all of your required paperwork is received, we will reach out to you to schedule an interview.
Step 4. This is it! During your interview, you will find out a little bit about our organization, what volunteers do, and what our expectations are. Please be prepared to tell us about or answer questions regarding:
- Why you are interested in volunteering at Discovery Cube
- Experiences listed on your resume
- Any past or current volunteer work
