Thanks to funding from local water and waste districts, these programs are free for schools across our communities. Partnering with these districts, we deliver high-quality, NGSS-aligned environmental education, inspiring students to actively preserve their environment. Los Angeles Eco-Programs

The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) and Los Angeles Sanitation and Environment (LASAN) are generously sponsoring field trips and assemblies that educate students on critical environmental topics. These programs, aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), focus on water conservation, waste management, and power management. By offering hands-on experiences and real-world applications, students gain the knowledge and skills necessary to protect our natural resources and understand the impact of sustainable practices on their communities and the environment.

LADWP provides water and electricity to Los Angeles. They fund educational programs that promote conservation and environmental awareness, educating students and the public on sustainable water and energy practices.

LASAN is committed to protecting public health through waste management and champion free educational initiatives that highlight the significance of recycling, waste reduction, and sustainable practices.

Water Wise Explorers

Embark on a journey with Water Wise Explorers, where students from K-6 discover the wonders of water through empowering field trips and assemblies. Our programs dive deep into the origins of water, unravel the mysteries of the water cycle, and equip students with the knowledge to conserve and protect this precious resource. IRWD supplies water and wastewater services to communities in Orange County and supports educational programs by collaborating with local organizations to create interactive and engaging learning experiences.

Greener Pathways

Greener Pathways programs guide 1-6 students on an illuminating journey into the world of waste management and recycling. Our programs empower young minds by teaching them how to sort their trash and compost effectively, emphasizing how these actions contribute to a healthier environment.
