When school ends, the science adventure begins! Join us for Camp Discovery as we travel beyond the classroom to explore and engage in fun, hands-on science. Discovery Cube is offering week-long camps where young scientists will find themselves immersed in experiments, science challenges, and group activities that will make them laugh, think, and discover new concepts. Each themed camp encourages students to be curious about the world around them and offers guidance for them to explore and understand science concepts.

Each themed camp is one week long, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, with an early pick-up option for K-2 camps at 2:00 pm.

Wild Wilderness

 

Let your child’s curiosity run wild! Wild Wilderness Camp is the perfect adventure for Kindergarten–2nd grade campers who love animals, nature, and hands-on discovery. Campers will explore the wonders of the natural world right inside the Discovery Cube science center through playful science experiments, creative projects, and interactive games.

From forest habitats to ocean ecosystems, young explorers will learn how plants and animals survive, adapt, and work together. Each day blends STEM learning with imagination, movement, and museum exploration, making science fun, engaging, and unforgettable.

Member Cost: $365

  • Early Pick-up option (2:00 pm pick-up) = $265

Non-Member Cost: $400

Busy Bots

 

 

Get ready to code, create, and buzz into the world of robots! Busy Bots Camp is a high-energy STEM adventure for Kindergarten–2nd grade campers who love to move, think, and tinker. At Discovery Cube, young engineers will explore the basics of robotics and coding through playful, hands-on activities designed just for young learners.

Campers will discover how step-by-step instructions help robots move, turn, and solve problems, while tackling puzzles, patterns, math games, and creative STEM challenges. Through interactive stations, group games, and imaginative projects, kids build early coding skills, strengthen logical thinking, and learn how technology works… all while having a blast.

STEAM Studio: Where Science Meets Art

Where creativity meets science—and imagination takes the lead. STEAM Studio is an immersive camp experience for 3rd–5th grade campers who love to create, explore, and experiment. At Discovery Cube, campers will dive into the science behind art, discovering how creativity and STEM work together to bring ideas to life.

Through hands-on experiments, design challenges, and inventive projects, campers will explore how sound becomes music, how light and color shape what we see, how engineering supports sculpture and design, and how science powers storytelling in books, movies, and theater. Along the way, they’ll think like both artists and scientists—testing ideas, solving problems, and expressing themselves in bold new ways.

Robo Lab

 

Where code comes to life. Robo-Lab is an action-packed STEM camp for 3rd–5th grade campers ready to take their tech skills to the next level. At Discovery Cube, campers will dive into the world of robotics and programming as they learn how code powers movement, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Using beginner-friendly robotics tools like Marty, Micro:bit robots, and drones, campers will write and test code, control real robots, and tackle exciting challenges. Through hands-on experimentation, trial-and-error debugging, and collaborative missions, campers will see their ideas turn into real-world action while building confidence and critical thinking every step of the way.

Please fill out a separate waitlist form for each camper you would like to be included on the waitlist. 

If a spot becomes available, we will contact you by phone or email to confirm your details. You will have 48 hours to respond and complete payment by phone. If we do not hear back within that timeframe, we will offer the spot to the next person on the waitlist. 

Frequently Asked Questions

Prepare Your Camper

Answer:

Please prepare your child for their day at camp by packing them a water bottle, a healthy lunch, and 1-2 snacks packed separately from their lunch.

We don’t allow campers to purchase their own lunch at Discovery Cube for safety reasons.

However, our Los Angeles location offers a pre-order lunch program. You can pre-order your lunch at the same time you complete your camp registration.

Answer:

Please make sure your child is wearing clothing that can (and is likely to) get dirty, comfortable close-toed shoes, and a jacket (some of the camp rooms can get cold). We will provide your campers with a camp shirt on their first day. We suggest they wear their camp shirt throughout the week, but this is optional.

Drop-off is from 8:55am – 9:05am*. If you will be dropping off your child late, please call (OC: 714-542-2823, LA: 818-686-2823) or email to let us know you will be late.

*Monday drop-offs may take longer, as we need to verify pick-up information for the week. Please be patient as we prepare all campers and their families for a wonderful camp experience.

Answer:

Pick-up is promptly at 4:00 pm* (or 2:00 pm for early pick-up option available for K-2 camps). If you need to pick up your camper earlier than 3:45 pm, please let us know at drop-off or call or email us to let us know what time you will need to pick up your child. If you arrive for pick-up in between 3:45 pm and 4:00 pm, you will need to wait until 4:00 pm to pick up your child.

*All adults will be asked to show a photo ID to pick up a camper, even if you are the same adult that dropped them off.

Once you have registered for camp, check your email for information/updates from Discovery Cube. These emails will contain extra information specific to the camp you have registered for and a link to CampDoc to provide additional safety information for your child. This information must be provided AT LEAST a week prior to the start of your child’s first day of camp.

The grade level ranges set for each camp are chosen specifically based on the content for each camp. We highly recommend only signing up your child for a camp that is within their corresponding grade level.

If you need to cancel or reschedule your child’s camp session, please call customer service at (714) 913-5040 or email groupsales@discoverycube.org. If you cancel within 2 weeks of your child’s first day of camp, you will be charged a 20% cancellation fee.

Answer:

Discovery Cube has a zero-tolerance approach to bullying. We ask parents to go over with their camper(s) and sign the Discovery Cube Camper Behavior Contract during the camp registration process to prevent these incidents from occurring. Our staff are also trained in handling conflicts between campers and methods in preventing bullying. Please read the Discovery Cube Camper Behavior Contract for more information.

Yes! If your child requires an aide for school, we ask that you provide an aide for your child for camp. For special cases and/or additional information, please email the camp director at gpatafio@discoverycube.org.
